  • Appointments

    We request that all patients schedule appointments. Our standard appointment length is 15 minutes, longer consultations are available upon request. We do our best to accommodate our patients preferences, although it is not always possible at short notice.

    Emergencies will always be given priority. Our reception staff will inform you if there are extended delays or if your GP has been called away. We apologise for any inconvience this may cause.

    New patients welcome.

  • Billing and Fees

    Scottsdale Doctors Surgery is a private billing practice with a specific billing policy.


    • Children under 16
    • Concession card holders
    • DVA gold card holders

    Exceptions apply to new patients, visitors and patients who do not live within the Dorset municipality.

    For all other patients, a private fee will be charged. The  Australian Medical Association (AMA) fee structure forms the basis of our billing policy.

    Fees are payable on the day of consultation. We accept cash and EFTPOS payments. We provide Medicare Easyclaiming which allows patients to claim their Medicare rebate on the day of consultation following the full payment of an account.

  • Cancellation Policy

    If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment please contact us to cancel. We respectfully ask that you notify the surgery in advance, at least 2 hours prior to your appointment time. Failure to cancel an appointment will incur a $40 non Medicare rebateable fee.

    Missed appointments affect our ability to provide timely attention to our patients. For every missed appointment, another patient loses the opportunity to be seen.

  • Results

    When phoning for results please call when our practice nurse is available to speak with you.

    Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 9:00am and 12:30pm - 1:30pm.

    Alternatively you can discuss your results with your GP by appointment. In the event of a clinically significant result you will be asked to a make a follow up appointment to discuss the results with your GP.

    Please be aware that we will not give out test results to a third party for privacy reasons.
